The Start Of Something Special…

Okay… real talk: this is officially my first blog post, and yes — I’m a few wines deep. But sometimes you’ve just got to say “screw it” and start before you’re ready. If I waited for the perfect moment, this would still be sitting in my drafts with a blinking cursor and a bottle of procrastination beside it. So here we are. Let’s go.

Truth is, I love writing. It’s one of the few things that lets me make sense of this wild, beautiful, sometimes chaotic life. So this space? This blog? It’s not just a collection of thoughts — it’s a digital diary, a place to bear my soul, share the real, and maybe even spark something in you too.

You’ll find stories here — the raw, unfiltered kind. The highs that make your chest ache with joy. The lows that humble you. The lessons that smack you in the face before they land gently in your heart. I’ll write about the wins, the WTFs, and all the beautifully messy things that come with being a woman, a business owner, a healer, and a human. Because I am still human. Still getting triggered. Still unravelling layers. Still learning — every damn day.

Welcome to Revitalize.

This little sanctuary I’ve built — here in Taupō, in the heart of Aotearoa — is the most relaxed wellness space you’ll probably ever experience. But it’s also so much more than just a space.

It’s a vibe.

It’s a breath.

It’s a place to put your baggage down and remember who the hell you are.

There’s no pressure here to be “healed” or to have it all figured out. You don’t need to be zen or spiritual or flexible or enlightened. You just need to show up. That’s it. This is a space where you’re allowed to simply be.

The philosophy that underpins everything I do? Energy.

We all carry it. We all share it. We all feel it. And I believe — deeply — that when we align with the right energy, we begin to heal on every level. Mind, body, spirit. That’s what Revitalize is all about: realigning, recharging, and reclaiming your sense of self.

Now, let’s rewind for a second, because this didn’t come out of nowhere.

Revitalize was born from ten years of deep personal work.

I didn’t start properly tending to my mental health until I was 27 — which, for context, is the same age I got booted from Australia (yes, on my birthday), when my visa got denied. Up until that point, I’d been coasting on survival mode, unaware of just how much trauma I was carrying from a childhood spent half in foster care. I didn’t realise how much of it had made a home in my body, shaping the way I thought, behaved, and connected with others.

That moment — being sent packing from the life I’d built — cracked everything open.

It led me to an 18-month pilgrimage through Asia.

No plan. No map. Just me, my backpack, and a deep pull to figure things out. I lived in treehouses, bathed in shame and sweat, tried healing modalities I couldn’t even pronounce, and said yes to things that made absolutely no sense (until they did). From ice baths to breathwork, from cacao ceremonies to crying on jungle floors — I felt it all. And it changed everything.

That journey — as wild and wobbly as it was — led me here.

To Revitalize.

To this moment.

To this space that I now get to offer back to you.

So, consider this blog a little window into the behind-the-scenes of my life and business. The real stuff. The magic and the mess. I’ll be writing more about that wild Asia stint soon (trust me, it deserves a blog post of its own), but for now, let this be a gentle welcome. A little hello. A nod to anyone who’s ever felt like the healing journey is too much, or too late, or too far away.

It’s not.

You’re not.

You’re already doing it.

And Revitalize? It’s here to walk with you.

With love,

Laura x
